It is also well connected to all the principal cities in India through the State and National Highways. It is almost 171 Km (approximately 3 hours ride by road) to the Muhamma boat jetty from the Trivandrum International Airport to Lake view resort. It is 180 Km ride to Muhamma from the Calicut International Airport. One can take many rewarding stops on the route. The nearest bus terminal, is at Kottayam, which is approximately 14 Km away from the lake by road.
